Cleaner Planet Recycling

Left information with some public schools in our area hoping to get permission to add a flyer to their billboard. Hopefully an announcement over the p.a. as well. We are hoping to create some good P.R. with local students, and the community at large. We plan to get volunteers for roadside/highway beautification i.e. trash pick up and clean up. Wish us luck on our endeavors and please call your school board to support our cause!

More highway pickup today, speaking to business owners and residents along the way. Speaking to local businesses about the hazards of waste and litter. Trying to donate recycling bins to the local businesses for the purpose of seperating and recycling refuse that would otherwise end up in a landfill. In the mean time still getting new donations from the community at large. A display rack for a store was donated today by Steve Austin of Steve Austin Music on Main st. Portland, which was donated to another small local business that was in need of it. This may seem like a small thing but it could have ended up in a pile of trash that would eventually be buried and possibly end up rusting, busted, wasted. Look for more entries to come soon.

We have a business meeting with a local church First Baptist Church of Portland, TN to discuss a partnership for a Youth outreach program, from donating needed items, i.e. Washer/dryers, refrigerators, television sets, and furniture, to setting up activities such as tree planting, cleanup, highway beautification, etc. If successfull this will be our first FULL partnership with a local organization towards our goal of a better planet to live in and leave to our children.
